Some nice pieces of writing, but if the childhood is set in the 90's it's a bit unbelievable that two gay men are happily living and raising children on Bruny Island and the locals don't even raise an eyebrow being that homosexuality was illegal in the state until 1997. Maybe this is addressed further into the book?

Nailed the complicated maths of a royal show showbag, but really missed the point of the CWA by calling them sexists. Oft, I'm not here for absolute stalwarts and champions of rural communities to be so maligned. There is always a mens class in the cookery section at shows!
