Profound autism was a made up term. How can we go from removing Asperger’s to now adding another term for autism.. it makes zero sense. It’s not the autism that is the struggle it’s the comorbidities. The criteria is to have an iq less than 50.. at that point that’s IDD not related to autism. Anyone with a low iq would be struggling. Making a subcategory once again is ridiculous.
