I'm having the worst year of my life for books so far. Why does every romance now have to have the hero's pov in first person? I HATE it. Sorry for the rant. But when one's in a book slump, they often get testy.

Petrik so sorry to hear that Danielle! slump is really bad! imo, you could try a new genre or take a break from reading for a while when you're in a slump! I hope it ends soon! :)

Genre switch is what I'm planning on. Thanks, Petrik! :)

Martyn Stanley Maybe you should go for something Romance free to clear your literary palate?

That's the plan, Martyn! :)

Martyn Stanley You could always give my perma-free a try. There's no romance in the series until at least book 4 and even it's a fairly low-key lesbian relationship. ;)

Erm, it's a bit grim in places though. Not everyone's cup of tea! :) Book 1 is fairly light. :P

Barbara➰ I feel your pain. I've actually been doing some rereading of old favorites because nothing really stands out and grabs me. I get very twitchy when I can't read so when nothing new appeals to me it get ill lol.

Yep! I think I'm going to ditch contemporary for a while. I haven't read a good one yet this year. Some old favorites sounds perfect <3
