Finished the second book - it's actually quite fun. It finally features cities flying and concepts of technology that even nowadays feel very modern.

Completed the First volume - by god, this reads terribly uninteresting. It's not offensive (besides the expected amounts of misogyny) but the first volume feels like a 160 page Introduction you don't care for.
