Something like my third time reading this book. Without a doubt in the top 2 of all the Anne of Green Gables books, perhaps even the best.

That atmosphere which has been created from all the other books— the perfect backdrop with references, familiar characters and so forth— is perfect. WW1 experiences are neatly put into the perspective of Rilla Blythe (aged 14-19 in the book) and was really interesting.
