does anyone know why my Nook has totally different page numbers than what Goodreads has? A book on my Nook will have 250 pages, but when I go to update my progress on Goodreads, it will say that book has 400 pages. Any insight?

It depends on the edition you're selecting here on Goodreads. A hardcover edition might have 400 pages, while the nook version is much shorter. Or sometimes if you select the ebook version of a book, it'll say 0 pages. If you come across one like that, let me know -- I can change it, as I'm a Goodreads librarian.

Yeah, you told Goodreads you were reading the paperback version of The Lightning Thief. Go here (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/78...) and switch to that eBook edition, and the page numbers will match up better.
