its hard to root for the mc when she's so flawed and the love interest is just. not. Like she's not the unrealistic one, i get that, but because this is a romance we need a male figure to swoon over, to pine for and he's perfect. which just makes the mc appear really annoying and immature

not sure how to feel about this bi representation. the only bisexual mc and she's the promiscuous no-commitment one. Every one else (and i so mean every other girl - Olive, Bee, Elsie, the other girls in the novellas) mention at some point how its been a while, how they haven't enjoyed sex because they've only ever had like, one relationship. Like yea you can be bi and slutty but why is she the only one???

everyone can get stressed i hear that but all her mcs have the same inner dialogue. like. exactly the same pattern of thoughts and anxieties. only difference are the job descriptions and the "niche" interests (i.e bachelorette, soccer. star wars more often than not). she's writing the same person for the past 5-6 books at least

not bad but clearly not as good as her full novels... pacing gets weirder when we limit ourselves to 100 sth pages
