Well, that was unexpected. i was worried about where a certain plot line was going, but it ended up going somewhere familiar I hadn't expected.

Now, THIS feels like a Charlie Parker book from the prime of the series. That last few books have been good, but felt like experimental formulas. This one is definitely back to basics and engaging from the bat.
