The deaged trope is done quite well. Who would have thought that that’s how the story grows on me? Lol, I’m surprised by myself, but I like Chu Wanning being tiny and a bit softer and I also find it too funny how they spoil him, especially Mo Ran.

People without ambition are just sus in a context like this. Shi Mei is unassuming and intangible. Ergo, he’s the one planning world domination. Maybe I’m wrong but he gives me the ick.

This feels like an endless prelude to the shocking and heartbreaking things I thought were supposed to happen. How much longer until things start apart from sect blah blah and weapon blah blah and our MCs pinning for the uninterested person next to them. It’s been close to 600 pages. Honestly, when will this book turn into the peak fiction people say it is?

Will I start to like this story while reading the second volume? Let’s see.
