The writing of this book is immaculate. Every line is packed with some much meaning. As a person of color, I found myself relating to a lot of the anecdotes. And one of the stories involving a little boy murdered hit home in a deep way as someone who works in healthcare.

I appreciate the author holding both political parties in the US responsible. Empty gestures and promises are harmful.
