Jayson’s Reviews > Justice League Europe (1989-1993) Annual #2 > Status Update

Jayson
Jayson is finished

Notes:
(1) So, a lot of this really annoyed me, but the humor's so fun and cheeky I can't help but like it.
(2) The ending pretty much spoils the big event reveal... a reveal that was ultimately changed last-minute. So it doesn't make sense anymore.
(3) Being Filipino, I can say that "halo-halo adobo macapuna ube" isn't just caveman gibberish, they're also Philippine foods.

Sophia I did wonder if this would have spoiled what would have happened.
The main issues are decently funny too!

Yes, I've really enjoyed the few Justice League International/America/Europe issues that I've read so far. So much so that I do plan on getting into the entire series eventually.

As for the spoiler, basically (view spoiler)

Sophia Awesome Jayson! I'm looking forward to seeing what you think of the series :)

Ah of course that kind of spoils things lol 😂 Not very subtle at all.

Thanks, Sophia! I'm looking forward to it too. I just need to figure out whether I want to get into Justice League first or Post-Crisis Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman 😅

Good luck! I really enjoyed them all at the beginning. Though, I don't think Batman changed much until a little afterwards.

Thanks, Sophia! Glad to know you enjoyed them 😁👍

Also, you're right, Batman doesn't really kick off Post-Crisis continuity with a seminal run, like John Byrne's Superman or George Perez's Wonder Woman. Starlin and Barr were pretty status quo, and I don't think any writer really redefined Batman Post-Crisis until Chuck Dixon. Arguably Frank Miller with Year One, but I'd hardly call four issues a run.
