some things i related to without feeling like i was relating to them. an interesting feeling to be honest. definitely got thoughts and ideas for go off.
i got what i came here for but boy did it feel endless. this and why be happy are the types of memoirs im not a fan of, as it turns out. i want fiction now. i can’t do another memoir about a dysfunctional family

mario is annoying as fuck but the girls are cute

just finished and… feeling deeply unsettled. again, no resolution: not in contact for now but god… how does the story end? what’s up with her mom now? are they talking? no? no news about rita either which makes me sad. we don’t know how her relationship with josie ended. did it go past employment or that was the end of it?

second half is smmmm better than the first half

how do i finish this tmrw 😭😭😭 it took me 35% today… then again, maybe i can do 45% hm. will definitely try. and kinda wanna try romance fiction tmrw, two memoirs in a row is a tad too much

sooooo close to dnf’ing cuz this book is endless. and it doesn’t go deep into it. so i’m like… idk. i don’t feel it. i have to cultivate compassion, and it’s very much logical, not true emotional hurt

this book is endless but it also feels like there’s absolutely nothing… non-linear progression, no “happening as we speak/in the present” and im just… too many letters. idk. this isn’t how i like my memoirs structures. why by happy when you can be normal and this one share that structure and meh

more of a recollection than “being in the thick of it” but still, lots of notes. exactly what i needed. hoping to get to 50% tmrw. will try to read for most of the day
