I think it’s interesting that they point out that at her core, Restell really just wanted to make money for her family. She wasn’t in it for the movement — but if she was and she allied with those other abortionists they would’ve raised hell

I really like this point, that history isn’t linear and progressiveness has fluctuated over time. How difficult that must have been for women of the time, then and now, to see those changes happening in real time
