If this author didn't have a grainy selfie of herself on her website, I would've been convinced that Anna-Lou was actually a man. For some reason, this book screams that it was written by a man even though it wasn't.

I swear every synopsis for a thriller book spoils the twist. It’s so obvious, but also the way the killer went about the first murder… it was so messy. Don’t know why it’d take a full book to solve that one, but we’ll see how the rest of the story goes.
