Received the ARC for this book at Winter Institute.
So far, the thriller aspects are very much downplayed and it's much more contemporary women's fiction, with a twist of elevated tension at the weird retreat. It's getting a bit weirder with the VR experiences they undergo to "fix" their mom problems.
