I had one of the most miserable days at work. Everything’s sorted out now, but my head is just in shreds. Someone point me toward the sweetest MM romance short stories out there—sex scenes aren’t necessary. I just need something BEAUTIFUL and soft.

oshiiy I’m really sorry you had a rough day at work. I hope things go better tomorrow. ❤️ Sixty Five Hours and Dearest Milton James by N.R. Walker aren’t short stories, but they’re really sweet reads.

a_n_i_t_a 🥺 ohh I hope you find the perfect story to escape (and hopefully some time off??) 🫂

Elisa Glendenning So sorry you had a bad day. There’s not much I can rec apart from Out of the Sea by Amelita Rae and you’ve read it. Also love The Unforgettable duet (1st book ends on a cliffhanger so perhaps not) or The Ghost on my Couch (Just Like Heaven vibes) but GR friends have issues I did not 😅 Anyhow, I hope you can find the perfect pick me up. Take care 😘

😅 thank you Elisa, I will look them up. cliffhanger is ok, I just need to get out of my head in an easy way 🥰

Pauline Oh hun, so sorry to hear that but also SAME! What a shitshow of a day for both of us apparently 😭
Throwing Hearts by NR Walker is precious, as is Vanilla Clouds by Roe Horvat. That one‘s just so cozy! And ofc every novella/short story by Jax Calder! Sending hugs 🫂🫂

message 8: by Sandy (new)

Sandy Kay So sorry Drusilla! What Pauline said, any of those!! Also KL Noone has some wonderful wholesome very short stories, I think you read her?

Thanks for the recommendations. Sorry to hear you had such a crappy day, too.
lots of hugs. I just bought a collection of short stories by Josh
Lanyon 😳 but Jax Calder is a good thought ...

I'm chuckling a little bc Josh Lanyon has some GREAT short stories, but...almost none of them are soft. They are intense! Happy reading friend. My fav shorter-ish story by Josh is The Dickens with Love.

I'll take a look, sweetie, thank you 😘. I just watched the first episode of “The Essex Serpent” too. Apparently my head is all over the place and I have no idea what I want.

M oh,sorry to hear that Drusilla...

Dear Milton James is a good one.

Also try Anyta Sunday, Signs of Love series, maybe Gemini Keeps Capricorn, it's all rainbows and sugar in a good way...

Lobenda☆on a year-long hiatus☆ oh no i'm so sorry you had a hard time :( . I don't read short stories so I can't help you :((. sending you a virtual hug 💜

message 14: by amina (new)

amina Sorry you had a rough day😕 Tal Bauer and N.R.Walker are classics but they are bid books. Novellas: Anyta Sunday - e.g. Noticed me yet? And as Pauline said anything by Jax Calder. Hope you feel better soon💕

message 15: by Kassu (new)

Kassu Yolande Kleinn has tons of sweet really short stories and many of them are free. Jax Calder's 'Queer Ways to Fall in Love' novellas were incredibly lovely. I've read these quite recently for my own downer feelings.

message 16: by Eve (new)

Eve "Playground Games" by Lilly Morton. Maybe "The Christmas I Know" by Nicky James. Or "Dirty Slide" by Lauren Blakely & KD Casey (but "Dirty Slide" is more funny and charming than soft and beautiful).

message 17: by Evie (new)

Evie Sorry you have had a bad day! I hope the rest of your week is able to be kind to you❤️❤️

Astra Oh no!! I’m so sorry about your awful day. 😭 For short sweet stories I know Roe Horvat is usually good at providing those. And I know Vanilla Clouds is supposed to be really good, really heart mending. Hope the days to come are much better and brighter!!! ☺️💕💕🫶
