Just a heads-up for other sci-fi and fantasy nerds out there, the Humble Book Bundle this week is "Women of Science Fiction and Fantasy." Octavia Butler, Katherine Kurtz, Robin McKinley and some other recognizable names are included. The tiers are: four books for $1, ten books for $8 (with more to be added), and fifteen books for $15. I'm confused...the more you buy the more expensive it becomes (25¢ per book moves to $1 per book)? Are the third tier books better than the first ones?

I think the higher tier books are more recent. As an example, in tier 1 you get Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower, copyright 2000. In tier two, you get the second book in the series, copyright 2012. In tier three, you get a novella with two stories from 2014. You'll be paying 25 cents per book in the first tier regardless of how much you spend, it's just that the books in the higher tiers are progressively more expensive.
Ahh. Thanks. It looks like a great deal, was just odd to pay more per book as you buy more.
Thanks. Got the humble bundle deal thingie. The last time I did this it was for the LGBT Pride humble deal a while ago. Though I'm not sure I actually ever read any of what I got.
