The series took a shift from the princess and her men being aroused all the time to her fighting a battle on behalf of the crown and honestly there just wasn’t enough world-building in the first two books to have me invested in the overt shift to heavy plot and hardly any romance by book 3… 🫡think this may be a DNF for me but we’ll see.
