Tullaia Powell the book house sells out of this series weekly. as a bookseller who has not read it (i have personally higher priority books to read at the moment), i NEED to know your thoughts on this series

Gretchen Vander It’s got a really specific vibe that almost makes you nostalgic. It’s like if someone blended Ready Player One and The Hunger Games. It’s nonsensical with crazy insane bullshit events and characters, but also has some great character development and plot that feels genuinely compelling.

So it’s like really good but insane on a fundamental level that makes it easy to come back to. “Ok we learned about how this character went through hell and grew as a person and it’s very compelling and complex… but it’s literally just a dude in heart print boxers who’s best friend is a talking cat.”

Gretchen Vander *his ex girlfriends cat who ate a magic biscuit and now talks

Gretchen Vander *the cat has equally good character development
