Dear authors, I thought I did not want to read another dreary methodology book but you have completely won me over, especially on your excellent chapter on action research. Your constant harping on about ethics is wonderful and the occasional glimpses of a cynical attitude toward governments and overly shiny attitudes makes this book enjoyable. I like that your egos do not infuse this work but I find myself wondering

At first I thought it was just more dry methodologies and it seemed it was going to be simple and "What works" based. In fact the authors have gently been opening up the topic to all sorts of complexity, and even brought in the way critical and post-structuralist perspectives sometimes overlap. They use many examples well while building the complex picture to show it is still worth doing research
