I want to finish this today because I’m so bored by the fluff and just want to see if Max (likeliest) or Newton (surprise twist) ends up being the lone survivor.

Not sure if the snakes mating in the fall is a clue or if the author doesn’t know anything about wild snakes

At least it’s not ANOTHER book set in the PNW. I’ve read way too many if those lately.
