At 50% of Stone of Tears, I’m more engaged than with Wizard’s First Rule. Less focus on shock elements, more on world building and themes like control and freedom. The story feels deeper, characters more interesting, and the tension more meaningful. If this continues, this book will surpass the first easily.

Slowly but surely I’m making my way through this book. Life has been a bit busy, so my reading pace isn’t what I’d like, but I’m really enjoying it. Especially right now, with a thunderstorm rolling past my attic, it just feels perfect. Great vibes, great book. Back to reading. Have a good Sunday!
