Only a few chapters in, and I thought about shelving this book. It’s filled with a bunch of silly shtick, which is my least favorite type of comedy. Kent writes every sentence with overly wordy metaphors that compete with each other for degree of ridiculousness. It would be one thing if they were actually funny, but they’re not so it only makes it extremely difficult to read with any sort of pacing.

This is terrible. Just finished part 1 and don’t know how much more stupidness I can take. And the instalove is absolutely unbelievable not to mention the sexual harassment situation (quid pro quo anyone!?). Not a chance in hell Declan is attracted to Shannon in that men’s room. I’m sick of her being a mess and hearing about her large size 16 figure and DD boobs. Going to skim the rest and cut my losses.
