Interesting start to the book, particularly with the setting ‘south of Narnia’ and its seeming correlation with the Arabic-desert lands of our world. So far the first 2 chapters of book feels about belonging and friendship, with shasta running away from ‘home’ on this quest with Bree. The escape to Narnia is a return home for Bree but perhaps also for Shasta, although that’s not clear yet.
