i can’t believe i’m only now understanding the hierarchies off world

idk i am conflicted. i feel as if every single decision hadrian makes is a bad one and i think that’s because as the reader you don’t have any trust in him because the WHOLE BOOK is just mistake after mistake. he even tells the story as if the end result was a huge mistake, the air of regret is looming over the whole entire book

i’ve been reserving judgment but i’m not sure how i feel about the way valka is written. i THINK im still missing pieces to the puzzle but im a bit concerned that this is where it stops with her, and she really doesn’t want her honour defended because she’s from outside their solar system or whatever. i understand what’s trying to be done but idk how good the execution is, lets see
