I don't know because I'm enjoying it so far! It's just hard to imagine dude turning that around. (He does it to awaken her magic, but still...) I took to Goodreads, and a bunch of the reviews mentioned his character development as his "emotional growth", so I'll ride it out for now. (Plus, the audiobook I bought is actually the whole series in one file, so I want to try to read it all, if I can.)
