I liked the idea of this storytelling approach until it became redundant. I will not learn the outcome of these people's lives, but that is actually the way life goes. This book could have benefited from a narrator who took over the storyline at times, and gave a break from the neverending gossiping of friends and strangers as if to an interviewer. It was a clever trope, but eventually abused my senses.
