okay so apparently not nazis…as they explain that they were all seemingly taken randomly but with the assurance that none of them knew each other or were at all related….what is happening

i cannot tell if this is set somewhere occupied by nazis but the description of how most of them were taken or separated sounds like that. also i do not believe that all these women are stuck in a forced proximity situation together, and then suddenly a CHILD shows up somehow and they all go “let’s hate her actually. she has no mother and can’t remember the one she did have but she’s annoying” HUH?

this book opens with a young girl describing her experience of maladaptive daydreaming…about one of the guards who monitor her and the other like 39 women that are imprisoned in a big cell. what the hell
