The last couple of chapters have been a blast! A good mix of action and politics.

Everything before chapter 24 could have been 8-9 chapters. With that said, the story is getting good and the tension is finally building.

This is a pretty big change from book 1. Darker, maturer, and wordier, than what I liked about the Final Empire. Also Blue monsters is a L and feels out of place.

The 1st 12 chapters could have been 3. A lot of recap and dialogue that feels like filler. Definitely weaker that the 1st book

This feels like a completely different series compared to the first book. A very slow and repetitive start.
