The writing needs more complexity and character development. I also hardly know anything about the MMC, Milori, other than his beauty and occupation. The pacing is slow at times, but nothing unbearable. Clarion and Elvina’s relationship is more interesting than the romance.

This would work wonderfully as a Middle Grade novel. It is very simple. So far, it’s simultaneously lacking romance and insta love. I’m convinced this was only branded YA to cash in on the nostalgia of adults. However, if you liked the movies, chances are you’ll like this. Expectations ≠ reality 🩵✨
