I'm sorry but it's just too convenient that the one time they actually happened to look for Julian is the ONE time in the entire book where he lies about where he's going. He should just be honest, like, "sorry, I broke into the house of the guy who tried to murder me so I didn't want you to know". Like I genuinely think that would go over better and they would trust him more if he just told the truth

These last few chapters have been so heartwarming, I genuinely cried. They make me so happy

I think they should at least tell the teachers that he was kidnapped by a cult. If he's having PTSD symptoms during class that are affecting his learning ability, then I feel like it's relevant information

Yadriel needs to sit down and attempt to teach Julian the art of half lying. Full blown lying doesn't work for Julian because he's an open book, but they at least need a cover story. There's got to be a way to keep this huge secret without avoiding his family and friends
