Authors can choose ANY names for their characters. By themselves Alecia and Lucia are fine (except is it Ah Lee Sha or Ah Lee See Ah) and is it (Loo See Ah or Loo Chee Ah - because I grew up with a girl who pronounced her name the second way but my husband thinks it's usually the first pronunciation) annoyed I'm going to spend 350 pages with these two names, my ocd brain will pronounce each name both ways each time
