i really enjoyed this book. how the book always had something going on but at the same time they all tied to the story. i do wish the book had a longer ending because i thought the ending felt rushed but the whole book i would read again

right now a lot has happened in the beginning of the book. the main character Fabiola, she has made it back to detroit but her mom is not here "she repeats what she said, but i only hear sending her back to Haiti over and over again" ( Zoboi 11) i wonder how she is going to navigate without her mom because that is who she has had her whole life.
