I struggled with it too but inhaled The Martian. I was told to listen to the audio for this one so I'm going to try that. I love the story, but being in Ryland's head was a lot.

I am actually listening to the audio as well. He is a great voice and bring lightness and life to the character, but I am having a lot of trouble just glossing over the science to visualize what’s going on. The premise is interesting, I just feel like it’s long and dragging and too much “work” to read and I don’t know if I actually care where it’s going. I do want to see the movie though, so I’ll trudge through.
