oh i am not liking jane and mr. rochester together anymore … he is rather quite possessive

i just realized how female-forward this book is – so much so that brontë introduces and describes all the ladies before the gentlemen. so now i’m thinking of lord ingram as “lady ingram’s husband” instead of the other way around. awesome
