Started slow and it took about 250 pages for things to pick up. The characters are pretty solidified in my head now learning about each character’s history and psychology and as each of their backgrounds slowly start to peel away like onion skins, my attachment of these characters go deeper with each chapter and page. There is no denying that I feel I am right there with these characters in the Texas heat.
