in part three we see Aglaya’s feelings for the Prince become more erratic. She switches between mocking him and defending him fiercely. She challenges the Prince’s passivity, yet she is clearly drawn to his radical sincerity. Their relationship is complicated by a letter from Nastasya Filippovna to Aglaya, in which Nastasya urges Aglaya to marry the Prince, further blurring the lines of sanity and manipulation. amaze

I don’t think I’ve encountered such an amazing book. Fyodor Dostoevsky has single handily captured the thoughts of my innermost mind and the human nature. Lizaveta prokofyevna is a beautifully written character who will never fail to surprise me and amaze me. Her line about how vanity and pride will eventually consume ippolit was amazing

I just finished the first part. It’s mostly a bunch of introductions. We meet characters like the prince who seems like a simpleton but he has these moments as if he understands the things deeper than just social issues and bothersome things like that. We also meet rogozhin. He’s very loud and drunk he’s the son of a successful businessman and he’s hopelessly in love with natasaya filpponova
