And I’m glad that Hildur has found her peace with the past. I feel so bad for Zara. It is insane that they’d spent 5 years inside. It’s so scary.

I loved this so much! The story was great! A group of four scientists who are riddled with guilt and grief stumble upon a strange landform resembling a face, a sandstorm forces them inside and what they find inside defies explanation. It’s eerie and disturbing body-, cosmic-, and eco-horror. The art (and coloring) was great too! I really enjoyed reading this one!

I still don’t understand how Zara got out exactly but it is insane. I’m still not over the fact that Hildur has adapted and is living inside of the leviathan. And Selva too to some extent. Galko’s transformation is the craziest of all. But I’m glad that he’s alright. I’m happy that I was right! That the levithan is on the move. But why? And to where exactly? Part of the story’s main themes is guilt

“Nothing matters anymore. Our destiny is annihilation. Our refuge will soon disappear like a puddle in the sun. We are nothing but a lost lifeboat. At the mercy of the storm. Our kind is going extinct. It’s best to put the crew out of their misery before desperation takes hold.” What an ending!

Edwin (or the stranger) took Abby to the brain (I believe) where she had to finish the divine trepanation (which looks very much like lobotomy) and got absorbed into it. I can’t even predict how this is going to end but I’m so excited for it. I think I will keep the last issue for tomorrow! I really don’t want it to end.

So Hildur can understand insects, is that her new ability? Or there something else? Zara is losing it. And that map on her hand was so creepy. The body horror is even more pronounced in part two. So from what I understand from engravings on Edwin’s body, is that this being was once a benevolent giant (gigas) that got overtaken but that one aberrant cell (almost akin to cancer) and it rotted and spoiled everything

I can’t believe we got an issue from Galko’s (the dog’s) POV! But it makes sense as he transformed and gained more sentience and became more self-aware. I can’t believe the fact that Selva transformed into insects but then again, it does make sense. What the hell is going on with Abby? First eating Edwin’s flesh, marking herself and then it the end performing the grand trepanation and fusing with gigas!

Edwin said that he’ll end them before he takes Abby to His Chamber. Is it really Edwin? If so, then he’s been around for more than a century! It’s insane. Astrid’s journal says that they were in Canada. Where exactly is this levithan? It’s probably moving. I really want to chart his path on a map and see where it’s been and where it’s going.

Edwin (if that is who he is) is hiding something. And it’s crazy that Abby sees him differently. What does he mean they need to perform a grand trepanantion to parlay before he takes her to Him? It is all going downhill. What is wrong with Hildur? Edwin said that this place had changed her (and Zara) but how? And who was that squid thing? Was it Robinson? Astrid Young? I’m glad that it’s dead. And the dog ok!

Well, first of all, I noticed Zara’s green eye and I was like, it’s interesting that I haven’t noticed that she had heterochromia before. And then I wondered if she’d always had a little green tattoo close to her right eye and I had to go and check the previous issues and SHE HADN’T! And you can see the plant (some type of phototropic milkweed Hildur called it) growing inside her head! This is insane!
