This book has been following Fabiola and her first day back in America. I don't fully understand how it happened, but she had an unexpected falter reguarding her mother joining her and their family in Detroit. They told her, "Fabiola, your mother's going to be sent to an immigration detention center in New Jersey" (Zoboi 11). I'm noticing she is kind of differnt than her cousins, so I wonder how they will get along.
