I read this novel with my husband. While he enjoyed it, I found it to be poorly written. I did not enjoy the use of French and German to make things appear classier than they are. I did not enjoy things happening out of character to merely advance a plot point. Tht said, it did become interesting at points and it was enjoyable enough to read until the end.
