Equivalent to decent YA Shakespeare fan-fiction. Not sure I will finish it. Not sure why it’s considered interesting or insightful literature by so many. A cliche of overwrought poetic description, empty characters, and superficial themes. There is no discernible reason the story is connected to Shakespeare other than making it feel more important than it is. Honestly baffled that this has so much acclaim.
