i am actually gooped and gagged.
the physical emaciation and dirtiness symbolizing how wretched and immoral winston has become. he didn’t even notice it until now. obrien says “you think i’m old and weathered? take a look at yourself!” because winston is his handyman and the party members do all of the dirty work while o’brien has never had to do any of it himself!!!
