This book is pretty heavy. Had to pause for a bit. Going to continue to read, for sure, but not in such large quantities at a time. I need to pace myself with this one.

Honestly, if Ruocchio wasn't the author, I wouldn't enjoy this series, but he's such a great writer, I keep coming back for more of Hadrian Marlowe.

Had to take a break and look up a summary of the first book. I was getting overwhelmed with all the names of people and places I had forgotten. Or so I thought. Most, but not all, of what I had “forgotten” were actually new names from *between* books 1 & 2.
