This is the second mystery starring the ex-nun (snoopy) Nora Breen. I'm hooked. Kidd's prose is mostly brilliant and sometimes funny in book one but somewhat less so in this book. In this book she uses an inordinate number of tongue and cheek expressions that seem somewhat too cool/savvy for an ex-nun. I think less would be more, but I will overlook if I end up loving this as much as her first mystery.

I'm enjoying this mystery and watching how the MC, ex-nun, picks at the evidence as she "investigates" the murders. She always seems to be in the right place at the right time, but I'll grant that the resort hamlet where she has landed appears to be small (with a disproportionate number of murders to keep her busy in two books, so far.
