This book lacks voice which makes it challenging with the dual first person narrative. It took me a bit to narrow down what felt different about this book and I think it's that with this strange added density to it's text.
Yet I'm still reading so it is enjoyable enough to get by.

There is something really intriguing about the writing style here that differs from most of the other romance books I've been reading. But I'll probably need to figure it out during a reread or at Queer Book Club.
