Reading this for the first time right after the Iliad- I feel like there are a few really cool understated parallels between it and Hecuba that had me frantically highlighting! The ‘gods balance good and bad in mortals’ lives’ appearing multiple times????!!?!? Also, Polyxena and Iphigenia in Iphigenia at Aulis give VERY similar vibes… Hecuba being an absolute icon at argumentation too? I live.
