Just got to the part where she discusses outdoor naps and it makes so much sense to me! Our culture always uses nature sound machines…why not try to use the real thing?

I am LOVING this book so far. I feel like it pairs well with The Anxious Generation wherein it encourages kids to get outside and play because it helps create their identity.

The chapter I just read really resonated with me when it talked about postpartum norms in America. The US ranks at the bottom of industrialized nations for parental leave. Thus it makes for a very lonely (and broke) postpartum recovery period.
