Fantastic read. It’s dense with history, but the author does what he can to keep it light. I also appreciate the footnotes. Still making my way through slowly because it’s something you have to be in the mood for.

Picked this back up over a camping trip. I’m still enjoying it, and find the little tid bits fascinating. Like his description of Yankees stadium in the late 40’s in the autumn being hazy from all the smokers back then.
