I think this novel just conflated dark matter with dark energy 0_0. Wonky physics aside, it's fine, I guess. We've shifted from Groundhog Day to Mirror Universe-esque shannigans, though it's not a 1:1. Anyway, it's fine, I guess.

Not that the Aurora Cycle is going to win points for scientific accuracy, but I'll say it again - dark matter and dark energy don't work like this! Gah! Well, anyway, the writing in of itself is fine.

Wow, you couldn't go 50 pages without Tyler and Saedii humping the bunk. I mean, I can't say it's unexpected, I'd be fine shipping them, but Maker's sake, restraint! That aside, most of this is good. There's a sense of dread that pervades everything as the ra'haam's plans come to fruition, with every frozen conflict breaking out at the worst time. I also like how it handles language.

So we're doing Groundhog Day? Okay, fine. Also, I know this is soft sci-fi, but a "dark matter tempest?" Really? FFS, dark matter doesn't work like that!
