I have so many issues with this book - currently at 7/8 discs and she was granted librarian access on a whim... okay sure. And then her continual insistence that she's 'a foster kid who didn't go to college but she's still smart' is pissing me off bc there's sooooo many smart people who cannot afford college and she thinks she's just soooo special. I hate Alex.

As a librarian, this is absolutely written by someone who romanticizes libraries and hasn't ever worked in one.
Plus Alix is just super rude and annoying so far. Way too 'pity me' and 'poor me' in my opinion. Plus her obvious disdain for women's shelters and the homeless has made me uncomfy.
Still willing to give the second disc a try but this might not be for me...
